Just wanted to officially invite all students to my morning study sessions that will focus on test preparation and re-teaching of major topics. The heavy emphasis will be Social Studies. The sessions will begin Friday March 6th and will start promptly at 715 AM and conclude at 7:45. It is important that students arrive on time as we will not have a lot of time as it is. The sessions will be held Monday-Friday unless mentioned on the calendar. All students are welcome but I would really like to meet with students who are struggling on tests.
Maddy! Congrats on making it to the finals of the Geography Bee! We are proud of you!
From: Constien and all of periods 3/4! HEY ALL. SINCE WE HAD SCHOOL CANCELLED TODAY THE NATIVE AMERICAN FOLK TALE WILL BE DUE ON MONDAY. WE WILL WORK ON IT TOMORROW. HOWEVER, THE FLIP BOOK IS DUE TOMORROW, USE THE EXTRA DAY WISELY AND I WILL SEE YOU TOMORROW!
-CONSTIEN The classes are moving forward! We took a turn in our WA state history unit to focus a bit on national and state government being that the November elections are right around the corner. I think it is important the students have some opinions during this time.
There will be a final exam on The Giver this Wednesday and our alternative endings are due by the end of the week at the latest. There will be significant grading happening in the next two weeks as well. 1. Alternative ending----20 points 2. Notebook----- 60 points 3. Chapter 13 test--------------at least 20 points I'm very impressed with both classes. We have finished our world maps and completed The Outsiders in one week. This makes me confident we can reach the goals I have set for us in reading volume. We now start our study of Washington State History. Students need to bring their Social Studies notebooks to class everyday. Late starts Wednesday and Thursday. Send me an Email if you would prefer your students not to watch The Outsiders movie.
